Mellow is a stunning 10-year-old gelding, royally bred as a grandson of the legendary all-time leading NRHA sire Colonels Smoking Gun (Gunner) and Hall Of Fame Sire Smart Chic Olena on the bottom side of his papers. Standing 15 hands, he boasts excellent conformation and is truly built to last. With his striking presence, athletic ability, and exceptional movement, Mellow is the kind of horse that immediately turns heads. Mellow has been one of Isabella's personal riding horses for the past year and will be a hard one to see leave, but we're also excited about him taking this next step to his forever home. Mellow is a true performance horse with all the bells and whistles. He is a phenomenal ranch riding horse, offering expressive movement, confidence, and undeniable presence in the show pen. His trot, lope, and turns are exceptionally smooth. He has easy lead changes, a powerful stop, and a beautiful long trot that consistently stands out. This gelding is full of personality and charisma. He is incredibly sweet, very “feely,” and responsive, with plenty of buttons. Mellow will thrive with a confident rider who can give him direction and be a strong partner in the arena. He is best suited for someone who enjoys a refined, high-performance ride. He loves sleeping in his stall and we have literally spent hours watching him on the cameras because he's so adorable! Mellow is deaf, which makes him more sensitive overall. He is not spooky but he is more aware of his surroundings. He will excel in a program that balances arena work with trail riding – he truly loves being outside.
