On the bottom side, Murray’s dam is an own daughter of Conquistador Whiz, the celebrated $2.7 million sire known for producing exceptional athletes with trainable minds and natural talent. With genetics like this, it’s no surprise that Murray is the total package. In the show ring, Murray is fancy, stylish, and extremely enjoyable to ride. He has a beautiful trot and a true cadence in his lope, carrying himself with balance and presence. Murray always feels like he has a foot on the brake pedal, ready and waiting for your cue to stop. His gaits are incredibly smooth—so comfortable that even a less experienced rider can feel confident and secure in the saddle. He neck reins effortlessly on a loose draped rein with a naturally low headset, and he can spin with speed and style. Murray rides beautifully off your hands, seat, or legs and has an easy, floating lead change that comes from the lightest cue. While Murray certainly has the talent and look of a top arena horse, he is far more than just a show prospect. Like the horses we pride ourselves on, he is truly well-rounded and real-life broke. Murray has been used outside the arena for trail riding, working cattle, and roping, proving himself to be a versatile and dependable partner. He has been started on both the head and heel side and is showing great promise as a rope horse thanks to his athletic ability and willing attitude.
