A few months ago we sold a special gelding named Sniper to a wonderful repeat customer in California! Mark has become like a part of our family and we’ve loved getting to walk with him in his journey in the horse world! Here’s what Mark recently had to say about his experience with Horse Of My Dreams:
“Finding and buying the right horse can be a risky and intimidating process, with so many ways to go about it. Networking locally might lead to a good match, but I found that to be a long and uncertain journey. In-person horse auctions are an option, but you don’t have much time to thoroughly evaluate such an expensive purchase. Online auctions offer a lot of choices, but seem very risky to me, as pictures, videos and the seller’s description may not give an accurate picture. All these approaches come with risks and uncertainty that can lead to stress and some gnarly vet bills.
“Horse of My Dreams” takes a different approach – they apparently continuously actively search out and select only the best horses and perform background checks on each horse’s pedigree to make sure there are no hereditary health issues. They also have their own vet checks done with blood tests, inoculations, and x-rays, which reduces buyer risk and gave me confidence.

She asked the right questions to understand our family’s needs, helping to refine and narrow down our requirements to match us with not just a horse, but the right horse. Of course, horses don’t read websites or Yelp reviews – they’re going to be horses! You’ll still need to spend the time to bond, take lessons as appropriate, and become effective partners. But by getting my horse from HOMD, I believe I’ve avoided many of the risks and pitfalls that can occur in that journey”
